Essence Magazine & Rosalind Millar Landscape Design

Well it is a fabulous first.  My very first published article in the lovely Essence Magazine who are graciously hosting my garden musings for 12 months as resident Landscape & Garden Designer.  In this February 2014 issue I am exploring our forgotten front gardens (see page 76-77) and suggesting how we can make them the gardens they deserve to be.  In February’s issue there are also some great ideas for winter walks from The National Trust (starting on page 65) which has inspired me to re-visit Polsden Lacey, a wonderful National Trust property in Bookham, Surrey.

Also I cannot thank Charlie Campey Photography enough.  I had originally submitted a ‘mug-shot’ which horrified and amused my husband no end. Once he had stopped laughing he declared that I must ‘Call Charlie, now!’.  Charlie is a good friend and luckily a great photographer, based in Weybridge, Surrey.  He kindly agreed to take some photos of myself and our dogs, Barney and Goose, out a walk.  Do have a look at his website www.charliecampeyphotography.co.uk

When it does stop raining I can see hints of the spring season. It is life’s small pleasures, such as being 5pm and not shrouded in darkness, that promise that the seasons march on unrelenting…and the rain will stop!
